  1. What is/are your craft(s),
& how long have you been doing it/them?
Since my mother and grandmother were both crafters, I have learned to be very "crafty" from an early age. I love to do all sorts of papercrafts: scrapbooking, chunky books, ATCs, filled matchboxes, collage. I also do fibercrafts: crochet and quilting. I sculpt in clay, wire, and paper mache mediums. I make jewelry.

  2. Are you a vegan, vegetarian,
    veg-curious, veg-friendly or other?
I am a vegetarian who, from time to time has tried a vegan lifestyle. I do eat the occasional fish product for health reasons, but land meats make me ill. I do not eat chickens, pigs, lambs, cows.. or any of the other animals that grace our earth. I am lactose-intolerant and consume soy milk, but do eat some cheeses. I hope that this doesn't make you ill reading about how messed-up my eating plan is. I strive to be healthier.. but most of the vegan products aren't available in my town.

  3. What is/are your favorite color(s)?
Do you particularly dislike any color(s)?
My favorite colors are black, blue (all shades), and silver. I also enjoy deep purples, greens, browns, and reds (think darker shades and rich colors.) The only colors that I do not care for too much are pastels, but I wouldn't turn them away if I had them. I love intricate and involved patterns: paisleys, plaids, florals.. I especially love Indian and African prints. Bold is beautiful.

  4. Do you have any allergies
(such as pets, foods, fibers or cigarette smoke)?
I am highly allergic to cats.. but if you can keep them off of the items in which you are swapping, I should not have much of a problem. I cannot have aspartame and saccharin: two very popular artificial sugars. I do use Stevia, though: a leaf sugar. I am sensitive to cigarette smoke, and do not allow it in my home. Most mailed packages are alright.. as I have only received one that was so smoky that I had to air it out before I looked at the contents. My other allergies are to chemicals (most pain killers and cold medicines).. and since I don't think that you will be sending me those things, you shouldn't worry about that.

  5. Do you have any companion animals?
    If so, name(s) and type(s)?*
With the exception of my wonderful husband, Branden.. no.

  6. Do you collect anything?
I collect dragons, stickers, postcards (unwritten), vegan and vegetarian cookbooks, magnets for my refrigerator, handmade bracelets (8" so they will fit my wrist), Italian charms for my charm bracelet, cooking and baking stuff, books on Wicca, crystals and other stones.. and I can always use soups, bath goodies, and scrapbooking supplies.

  7. Do you have a favorite vegan food, snack or dish?
If no fav that's vegan (for those who aren't vegan),
    what's your favorite food?
(Hopefully your pal can find a vegan version!)
I love hummus and WASA Crispbreads! (Wild Garden makes some awesome hummus, but I have only been able to find the original around here.) I love soup! I also enjoy granola (Nature's Path makes good ones, as does Back to Nature - Cherry Vanilla.. YUM!!) I enjoy natural sodas when I can find them (Steaz, K W Knudsen) I love Tasty Bite, and other Indian foods BUT I cannot find them here! (WAH!!!) Curry rocks!

  8. What are some of your favorite/least favorite tastes/flavors?
(e.g. sweet, salty, chocolate, crunchy, smooth, tart, sour, spicy, thai, whatever - Help your pal get a feel for what kind of recipes you might like and/or never ever make.)
All recipes are fine. Any that may give me step-by-step directions on just what I can do with tofu would be nice, too.
We have trouble finding "exotic" ingredients in our small town, though.. so please make the recipes small town accessible.

  9. What tools/supplies/accessories for your craft(s) are you wishing you had but don't?
Also, what do you have TOO many of? (basically a wish and anti-wish list)
I would love to have beads, stamps, ink pads, punches (especially a corner punch), stickers, ribbon, papers (especially foil, textured, and handmade), and all sorts of various embellishments. I would really love to have some 9-pocket binder sheets to store my ATCs in.
I really don't have much use for brads
, or "country" looking things. Please no glitter!

  10. What scents do you like/dislike?
I love ginger, amber, cinnamon, clove, caramel, chocolate, the ocean, fresh rain, vanilla, cucumber melon, and patchouli.
I do not like jasmine, most lavendar, and musky scents.

  11. Just for fun - tell your favorite Halloween or Autumn related memory.
When we were children, my siblings and I used to complete in a costume parade and contest every year. Our mother would hand-make the costumes. One year, I was the statue of Liberty and my crown and torch really lit up. That same year, one of my sisters went as a Hershey's Kiss, and one went as a dragon with real smoke.. Our mom did some of the best work around!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
